Lyonard Miszkiewicz is a Polish-German fashion design director. He studied fashion design at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts Antwerp and went on to study textile design at Chelsea College of Arts, London. He gained early experience in the studios of Giles Deacon and Raf Simons before heading master tailor Orschel-Read in design direction and knitwear from 2010. Lyonard’s eponymous label, founded in London in 2013, featured at multiple fashion weeks and enjoyed success among peers and celebrity clients. In 2015 Lyonard graduated from the Royal College of Art with a master’s degree in fashion design. Following his graduation, Lyonard joined Hackett London as knitwear designer before moving on to manage couture at luxury fashion house Alexander McQueen. Over five years, Lyonard became key to the creation of McQueen’s renowned special projects, featured in some of the world’s most high-profile publications and events, including the Academy Awards and Met Gala. In 2021 Lyonard was appointed Head of Design at lifestyle brand Les Girls Les Boys by British entrepreneur Serena Rees MBE to establish a knitwear line and solidify the label’s pioneering status. Lyonard then joined Ambrita Shahani-Tuckwell’s consultancy working on projects for Fendi Couture before being headhunted to re-establish and elevate international fashion brand Esprit in the role of Global Design Director based in Amsterdam. Currently, Lyonard is living and working in New York as Design Director at industry disruptor Alexander Wang.
